The Mandt System is pleased to be introducing an exciting new tool to bring technical curriculum review and reinforcement out of the classroom and into the workplace.
The Mandt System Augmented Reality App provides an experience to certified instructors and their students that is without equal in the world of deescalation training.
Using your smartphone (iPhone and most Android models) you can place 3-dimensional, interactive figures demonstrating the Mandt technical curriculum “virtually” in your own environment using advanced Augmented Reality technology.
This app provides an immediate and accessible reference for troubleshooting or practice of the technical skills. The realism and presence of the AR figures creates a compelling experience for students in need of review, and the immediacy of the app means that you don’t have to wait for a classroom to be available.
Even within the classroom, you can use an Apple TV to display the techniques to as many students as necessary.
This tool is designed to supplement and augment the core instruction of the technical curriculum. To access the techniques that involve physical contact, you will have to provide the email address attached to your account which will verify that you have had the appropriate Mandt training.
Our recent conversations with Mandt Instructors have made it clear that the two greatest needs emerging as we chart the Mandt System’s course in 2024 are:
– Growing limitations on available classroom time
– A need to extend training beyond the classroom, more directly and immediately in the workplace.
In the coming months you will be hearing more about our efforts to address the nearly-universal concerns about time, as well as additional tools to enhance and extend the classroom experience.
For now, however, please join us in exploring this tool for reviewing the reinforcing the Mandt Technical Curriculum.
And please, let us know what you think!
